Contrary to what the name of the trail may suggest, Alkali Flat has you hiking up and down dunes the entire way. This is a dog-friendly, moderate-difficulty 5-mile loop.

We only encountered 4 other people on this hike, all within the first 10 minutes. The hike had a surreal, otherworldly feel to it. One of the most unique hikes we've ever taken.
