Located about seven miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park, BJs RV Park is a great option for those who choose not to stay in the campgrounds within Big Bend. It was a busy weekend during our visit to the park. Since our itinerary was loosely planned, we had no reservations and all campsites within the park were full.
The RV park has 29 sites with hook-up plus a large open space used for tent camping or vehicles not requiring electricity or water. We parked the Jucy in the primitive camping area and were rewarded with a spectacular dawn view of the Chisos Mountains.
BJs has restrooms with showers, laundry, WIFI and is pet-friendly. Beth, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.
Terlingua, a census-designated place with a reported population of 58, has an interesting little ghost town area that is worth exploring.
