The Rio Grande Village Trail is a short .75- mile loop located at the SE edge of the Rio Grande Village campground. It's an easy trail with a small elevation gain. This sweet little hike is suitable for nearly any fitness level as well as small children.
There are great views of the Rio Grande, Chisos Mountains and the Del Carmen Mountains of Mexico. Wildlife is abundant in this part of Big Bend. We encountered several javelinas. The marshy area is popular with bird watchers as well.
